  • The forests of eastern North America are home to thousands of mushroom species, each with its own unique characteristics. During this workshop, you'll encounter a fascinating array of wild mushrooms, from those resembling alien shapes to ones that look like underwater corals or soccer balls. Under Steve's expert guidance, you'll learn the following:

    • Differentiating between edible and toxic wild mushrooms.

    • Understanding the scientific names and characteristics of various mushroom species.

    • Identifying mushrooms based on their physical appearance, colors, and smell.

  • 90-Minute Seminar: Begin your journey with an engaging seminar conducted in a beautiful outdoor classroom. You'll receive a comprehensive 6-page handout covering the fundamentals of mushroom hunting methodology, which will be discussed thoroughly. Includes a lunch from Farmer’s Daughter.

    Forest Foray: Dive deep into the forest as you put your newfound knowledge into practice. Identify wild mushrooms in their natural habitat, and experience the thrill of mushroom hunting firsthand.
